The Court of Appeal of Versailles, in its judgment of January 18, 2024, case no. RG 21/06842, fully endorsed our position and overturned the first-instance judgment of a French court. As a result, we successfully defended our client against a claim by a major French bank for the return of a luxury vehicle, which he had previously acquired from an unauthorized possessor, and against their claim for substantial damages.

The Court of Appeal of Versailles ultimately adopted our position and applied German law to this dispute, affirming that our client had acquired the luxury vehicle in good faith.
